My skin in the first trimester

So when I was around 5 weeks pregnant I was amazed and surprised on how good my skin was looking. - Hurraay bring the sparkly water!
At nine weeks pregnant, my skin decided to rebel on me, and my acne came back. - Put the sparkly water back..
I'm going to be honest, I've been extremely lazy these last couple of weeks and my skin care routine might have suffered a bit due to that. Who am I kidding, guys, taking care of myself (physically)  went to the bottom of my priority list - At first we have sleep and second.. well more sleep.

Today was the day I decided that I am not, I repeat, I am NOT giving up on myself. knowing myself as I know it will only result in severe grumpiness and depression for not feeling good about myself, so nahaa.

I went to the pharmacy to get supplies for my blood sugar measurement kit and I asked the pharmacist for advice on a skin care product for my acne, taking into consideration that I am pregnant. The lady was super nice and adviced me to get the cleansing gel and face cream from a brand named SVR. The line is the Sebiaclear meant for acne prone skin. She said that these products would be the best option as when pregnant, women are more likely to get the skin irritated and to react to some product compounds. These products are for oily and sensitive skin.

The cleanser claims to cleanse and purify the skin without drying it and to remove sebum excess and unclog pores. It mattifies the skin and leaves it fresh and clean. You can use it on your face and body, so I thought of using it also on my back and shoulders where I currently have a lot of spot action going on.

The cream claims to eliminate spots and blackheads, corrects pores and controls shine, also it should reduce residual marks and make them less red.
It is oil-free mattifying and long-lasting hydrating, and it says that it works as an excellent make-up base.

So I tested these immediately when I got home. The products are lightly scented, nothing too much, just a nice fresh scent to it, that fades away quickly after applying. After using the cleanser, my skin looked nice and fresh, and I do think the redness faded away a tiny bit.
I really like the consistency of the cream, it was easy to apply. Immediately after you apply it, it gets a little bit sticky and at that point, I was like meeh, but after a couple of minutes the skin absorbed it and it was no longer sticky, but it feels pretty drying. I'm not sure if on the long run, my skin is going to be super dry using these products but hey, it's the first time using these and we all know that with skin, we have to be veery patience. It takes time and patient for the results to show.

I will try to keep my hair away from my face especially while sleeping, so I will probably just braid it, and change the pillowcases often. OUH and it will be hard, but I'm gonna keep my hands away from my face as well, because we all know what comes with constantly touching our face.

Now, these products are not organic or whatsoever, and that did get me thinking on what I am rubbing on my skin. I'm still gonna give these a go, but after I'm done with these, I will focus on finding more organic options that don't have this kind of chemicals.

L'oreal colorista washout disaster

So as many of you, I needed a change in my life, so I wanted to do something crazy with my hair. I thought that the L'OrĂ©al Paris Colorista Washout, was a perfect choice, as I only wanted a temporary thing, and if in case I hated it, I would be able to get my own hair colour back after a couple of washes. I wanted to do something completly crazy and new for me, so I went with the Indigo blue.

I applied it into dry hair, as one of my friends told me she got the best results that way. I applied the product in my hair and left it for the recomended time, and then washed it off. After drying my hair, I was slightly disappointed as it was definetly not blue, but purple. My hair was pretty bleached out so I was really expecting to get the colour shown in the package. Nops.

Well I was ok with it, it was still pretty cool, and everybody at work complimented me for the hair. After a couple of washes it became this sky blue colour, which I still liked, but then it got green.. sounds familiar?
Not a straight green, more of a minty puky green. My friends still loved it, my boyfriend not so much, and I was aswell getting really sick of it, I bought the fader shampoo, but it didn't do more, than getting me to waste around 7 euros. The almost full bottle is still in the bathroom getting dusty.
.
After a lot of research I decided to go with hairdye, as some people claimt that they tried to bleach their hair without results, and due my hair being already bleached for a good amount of times , the idea didn't make me feel very secure.

So I went and bought two hairdyes Loreal excellence Intense 7.43 copper blonde and garnier olia 4.0 brown.
I started by using the orange shade to cut the green out, after drying my hair the shade was pretty good, really close to my own hair colour, but a lot of green was still shinning through.
 .
So I went with the dark brown on top. After all that dying and washing and drying, aaah relief. I was a brunette. A tiny lil green reflection still going on, in certain lights, but the yuky mint green was gone. My hair was shiny and soft.

I was really happy with the result, I tried to avoid washing my hair as much as I could, because we all know what happens when dyeing blonde hair brown. The hair just doesn't hold the pigment. After a couple of weeks it had faded away a little, so I decided it was time to dye my hair again.

Being the person that I am, I get sick of my hair colour or cut, really reeeaally fast. So I wanted something different again. So I attempted to get red-iish hair. I bought Garnier nutrisse 3.6 and I went for it. The result was pretty dark, it looked mostly brown but with red reflexions, I pretty much liked it and again at work everybody loved it, but seeing the colour fading away with the washes was a bummer. So I don't think I will be buying red dye anymore... In fact... I'd like to be blonde again.. May the Hairgods protect my hair from my actions.
